your feud with Julia Hartley Brewer continues on Twitter um basically you're still of the opinion

um that the lockdown has indeed been lifted.

You don't think we're in a lockdown anymore.

But you did say that June of 21st probably was when everything was going to be lifted.

It hasn't been.

So what do you say now?

Well, on the first point, on lockdown, I mean, we're clearly not in lockdown anymore.

We can go out, we can go at restaurants,

we can go to the pub, we can go to friends, we can go to family. We all know what it was like three, four months ago. So the idea we're still in lockdown is, it's frankly ridiculous. You're

right. I mean, I think, you know, I certainly hoped that on the 21st week could have locked down, as you said,

that was identified as a date where it would probably happen.

We all know what's happened with the India variant.

Yeah, what has happened, though, what has happened with the Indian variant?

Well, no, I was going to come on to that.

My own view is there's too much emphasis on the India variant.

I think a much bigger part of this and a much bigger problem is actually that there are a small but significant number of people who have been offered the vaccine and simply haven't taken it.

And I think that is a big part of the problem we've got.

And frankly, I'm not entirely sure what the government can do about that.

Now, it's quite clear from looking at Boris in his statement yesterday.

And obviously people will debate this. I know people will say, they're just going to keep putting it off forever.
