0:34.0	So Jorge Avila Torres, who prefers to be called George, was born on August 18th in 1988 in Zion, Illinois.
0:42.0	His parents had emigrated from Mexico. His father worked in a cardboard
0:45.9	factory and his mother was a homemaker, an Amade Casa. His attorney later said that he had an
0:50.8	abusive childhood, but we have no particulars about that and
0:54.6	do not know the veracity of that claim. Yeah considering what he did later it's it
0:59.6	it makes true but we just don't yeah exactly Yeah, exactly, we don't know.
1:03.3	But according to his childhood friend Alberto Segura,
1:06.8	George did not like being at home.
1:09.1	He lived with his parents and older sister Sarah, who he was close to. The family lived in a two-story
1:15.2	house on Gabriel Avenue and Zion two blocks from Bula Park.
1:19.3	According to Alberto as a teenager, George was personable.
1:23.2	If awkward in conversation,
1:25.3	his only interests appeared to be bikes, girls,
1:28.8	and his collection of knives and throwing stars.
1:31.5	Childhood friends said George could often be seen riding around
1:34.4	his neighborhood on his mountain bike. Another childhood friend, Sarah Sir Knox said, quote,
1:39.4	he was kind of an outcast. It was like he was there, but he wasn't there, unquote.
1:44.7	Alberto said that George talked about girls but was inept at talking to them and flirting.
