Now, I'll tell you what happened then, but I'll just contextualize this.

I have been raising money nonstop since that very first raise, even after selling Zico, starting

funds.

I've raised a billion dollars, including our own funds, and it never gets easy.

Never. It's easier or it never gets easy. Never.

It's easier or I realize what happens.

But the same process I use then, I use now and I use always.

I made a lot of mistakes, a lot.

I lost a ton of money, millions, myself, millions. And I also brought a lot of people into investments

that followed me, trusted me, and lost millions. That is humbling. And through that process,

as well as a lot of other things fell apart in my life my health started to go to hell my

marriage fell apart i sort of woke up one day and thought this is not what success was supposed to

look like and i don't feel free i don't feel free i'm stuck on phone calls and emails and I'm angry and upset and da-da-da-da-da.

So I'm running like racing through the next goal and another fun and another deal and another

exit, another million or not.

And so I finally started to just take a step back and say, okay, I got to rethink everything.
