I, at 10 years old, my mom was very friendly with a very big sort of Broadway-type producer in Johannesburg in theater.

And this woman, Toby Kuchelik, who was very, very well-known, said, Grace, my mom's name was Grace.

Grace, I have a play and I need a young daughter, a young girl to play one of the lead roles, and I'd like to speak to your daughter. So my mother was amazed. I, of course, I was so excited. I auditioned. I went to see an immigration attorney. And the guy said to me, what do you do? I said, well, I'm a singer and an actress. He said, well, forget about that. We have 20,000 out of work singers and actresses. We don't need another one. What else do you do? I said, well, my mother always said, if I'm going to be in theater, I have to have something to fall back on. So I had, she recommended that I do a business course and a secretarial course. So I told him that. And he said, were you any good? So I didn't know who these people were.

And they kept on talking about Foxy would like to make an appointment. He said, okay, who's Foxy? So they picked me out this big stretch limo shows up near Bloomingdale's. We get in the car, we go downtown two. Lovely women were there talking about Foxy,xy foxy so finally i took them through the
