The end of one year and the beginning of a new one is the time of both reflection and inspiration.

We look back on what has been and in faith believe for greater things than the next.

Thank you. will help us make the new year count for Christ. The beginning of a new year is a good time for repetition of some things,

just to remind ourselves to push the spiritual reset button,

and that is why today and tomorrow, I'd like to take your

attention to the book of repetition. It is literally the book of the second law, the Old Testament

book of Deuteronomy, specifically to Deuteronomy chapter number 11, because in Deuteronomy 11,

God was getting his people ready for everything he had for them in the coming year.

In fact, in Deuteronomy chapter 11 in verse number 12, we read a beautiful phrase.

He's describing the promised land they're about to enter into.

And he says, it's a land which the Lord thy God careth for.

I love that. Aren't you glad the Lord thy God careth for. I love that.

Aren't you glad the Lord cares for his children?

God cares for his own.

We're under God's care and keeping of our lives.

A land which the Lord thy God careth for,

the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it.

Now ponder that just a moment.

So we're not only in his hand, we're under his watchful eye.
