We began our short brief study of

these few verses in Jeremiah 17 on yesterday, and we identified this phrase, the year of drought.

It was a hard time in Judah. It was a difficult season for God's people, and yet the Lord

shows a way that even in the

midst of that, the individual, the man can know the blessing of the Lord. He can grow even in the

year of drought. How is that possible? Well, we began by examining the fact that the year of drought,

first of all, was a year of faith.

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord. In fact, he gives a tremendous contrast in

Jeremiah 17, verse number six, between the man who trust in man and makes flesh his arm,

and his heart departs from the Lord and the man who trust in the

lord see everybody is going to lean on somebody i'm thinking of the words of that old hymn the arm of

flesh will fail you you dare not trust your own so you don't lean on that another hymn writer said

that i dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name.
