The end of one year and the beginning of a new one is the time of both reflection and inspiration.

We look back on what has been and in faith believe for greater things than the next.

This practice should be used in our spiritual life as well.

Thank you. will help us make the new year count for Christ. What kind of year will this be?

Only the Lord really knows the answer to that question,

but at the beginning of the year,

we should already be thinking about behold,

not just the parts, but behold, from the beginning

of the year and the words of Scripture even unto the end of the year.

We return today to Deuteronomy chapter number 11, and this amazing expression that Moses

gives from God to his people as they get ready to embark on a new

adventure of faith and obedience into the promised land. And he says, the Lord's going to take care

of all the details. The Lord's going to provide for all the needs in the land. And that place is a place

that God has his eye on. Here's the expression, Deuteronomy 11, verse 12, from the beginning of the year,

even unto the end of the year. You know, life really is a series of new beginnings. Aren't you

glad that God is the God of new beginnings? And the creator who alone could make something out

of nothing can also make something beautiful out of our messes. Every time a sinner comes to Jesus, he's made a new creation in Jesus Christ.

And someday our Lord has promised to make all things new.

Aren't we looking forward to that?

But between our new birth and our arrival in the new heaven and the new earth and the new
