I'm honored to have you with, hadn't seen you since the pandemic started. So, but good to have you in the house here with us today. May the Lord's

blessings rest upon you in a wonderful way. Well, return our attention to scripture in

Ephesians chapter 6, verse 16 is our text verse today. In every situation, take the shield of faith,

and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

We're talking today about the power of a shield, the power of the shield.

We've heard in scripture about clothing ourselves with the whole armor of God.

This is not just something that you pick and choose is not an either-or.

It's a totality.

It's having on the helmet of salvation and the breastplate of righteousness,

your loins gird about with truth, your feet shod with the

preparation of the gospel of peace, taking the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit, which is the

word of God. And we need the shield, the power of the shield, because it protects us from all of the

thoughts, the feelings, emotions that begin to bombard us and work against us.

If you have a destiny, if you have a mission in life, if you have an assignment, if you realize that there is a God called purpose in your life, you will have a tax.

Everything that is born of God, every person that is born of God, will automatically have an

enemy against you trying to keep you from fulfilling the destiny that God assigned.

God knew that.

That's why he gives us the shield of faith.

The shield is a protector to help guard against the fiery arrows of the evil one, the devil,

because he's going to send fiery arrows into your life to try to stick it to you.
