not the fun kind. Due to extreme temperatures and ongoing droughts, the power grid could buckle

over some parts of the country this summer. Now, this info comes from NERC, the regulating authority

that oversees the nation's electrical infrastructure.

In their 2022 summer reliability assessment, they explained that high temps will cause the demand

for electricity to rise, and droughts will lower the amount of power available to meet that

demand. The NOAA Climate Prediction Center predicts that nearly the entire U.S. will experience

above average temps this summer.
