The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know. If you've got cantaloupe in your fridge,

you're going to need to throw it out. Due to a deadly salmonella outbreak, the CDC says you should

not eat pre-cut cantaloupe. If you buy a whole canalope and cut it yourself, you should be fine.

117 people in 34 states have become sick because of contaminated cantaloupe.

Out of those people, 62 were hospitalized and two died.

Canada is dealing with a similar outbreak.

More than half of the infected people hospitalized were residents of long-term care centers

or children in daycare.

Recalls of the pre-cut cantaloupe possibly containing salmonella come from stores like

Kroger, Sprouts, Trader Drows, Quick Trip Markets, and Bix Produce.
