Monday, December 4th, 2023. The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know. This weekend,

American troops were dragged into the war between Israel and Hamas.

Thankfully, there were no reported injuries or casualties, but yesterday's events

showed just how close the U.S. and other countries are to being dragged into this conflict,

possibly triggering a world war. Let me break it down. As you know, Hamas militants attacked Israeli soldiers

and citizens on December 7th. The attack claimed a little over 1,000 Israeli lives and Hamas captured

over 200 hostages. Since the attack, Israel has essentially leveled most of northern Gaza

while claiming around 15,000 Palestinian lives. And I know you've probably heard some form of this at some point, but that is what led a rebel

group in Yemen to declare war on Israel. Now, to be clear, the whole country of Yemen didn't

declare war because Yemen is essentially split as they fight a civil war. The side that declared

war on Israel is backed by Iran. The other side is backed by Saudi

Arabia. Now, let's move on to what went down yesterday. The Iranian-backed rebels fired missiles at

at least three ships in the Red Sea, including a U.S. Navy destroyer. The attacking group in Yemen
