and today is Thursday, November 30th, 2023. The Core 4, the four headlines you need to know.

I'm going to ask you to do something very difficult. For a moment,

put your political affiliation aside. Step back from your religious convictions for a second.

Try to be as neutral and open-minded as possible for one moment, okay? Now imagine the person you

love the most in life was just taken hostage.

Maybe that's your son or your daughter, maybe a husband or a wife, your mom maybe, your dad.

I think we can all agree if we're using our hearts and our minds here that the pain of not knowing when you'll see them next or if you'll ever see

them again would be crippling. Now, I asked you to do that for a reason, because yesterday was the

sixth day of the ceasefire and hostage exchange between Israel and Hamas. And thankfully,

after midnight last night, the ceasefire was extended for at least one more day

under the same terms. Israel gets 10 Israeli hostages in return for 30 Palestinians. And that might

seem uneven, but I'll get to that in about a minute. Hamas has returned 60 of the Israeli

hostages that were taken when they attacked Israel on October 7th, along with

some foreign nationals as well. And according to Israeli sources, there are only about 20 Israeli

women left with Hamas. And Israel, for its part, has released about 150 Palestinians. Now,

almost every single hostage or prisoner from either side has either been a woman or a child.
