Israel and Hamas have agreed to temporarily pause fighting in Gaza in order to allow for the vaccination of approximately 640,000 children against polio.

They have agreed to three separate three-day pauses in distinct zones, which will start on Sunday,

and there is an agreement to extend the pause in each zone for a fourth day if needed.

This comes after the first case of polio in Gaza in the past 25 years was confirmed last week,

and the virus is highly contagious.

We are closing out the week with lead stories on our two presidential nominees.

Vice President Kamala Harris had her long awaited sit-down interview with CNN's Dana Bash,

for which she was joined by her running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walls, as presidential candidates

traditionally do following the selection of their VP nominee.

She said that her priority on day one would be to implement their economic plans to increase

housing supply and bring down the cost of goods

by going after corporations that price gouge. She also said that she would appoint a Republican

to her cabinet. Not that she has anyone specific in mind, but that it's important to have different views and experiences at the table when making decisions.

Perhaps a Republican senator from a state with a Democratic governor maybe?

On Donald's campaign, the big story continues to be his trip to Arlington National Cemetery from earlier this week,

which has only become more appalling the more we learn about it.
