| 0:40.0 | around modern-day Albuquerque in Santa Fe, as the winter of 1540-41 came to a close. |

| 0:49.0 | The Spanish had come into the area, seized food, clothing, shelter, and women. |

| 1:34.0 | They took what they wanted, when they wanted, with little regard for the native people. |
| 1:38.0 | They raped, killed, and savaged those who resisted them. |
