Today we start a new series, this on Spanish conquisador Francisco Vesca's day

In this quest, Coronado led a large expedition from Mexico

to his far north as present-day Kansas

and through parts of the American Southwest.

It is a classic tale of the early Spanish conquisadors.

Some notes about this series.

Our first item is regarding the name Francisco Vesca's day Coronado.

In English, we often drop the middle part of the name,

meaning we call our explorer Francisco Coronado, or just Coronado.

But in Spanish, he is called Vesca's day Coronado.

Both versions are used by scholars and historians,

and I'll use both depending on how things are flowing in the read of my script.
