So the South of France, Paradise, Simon Constable, chasing commodity prices, but we begin with

something you can't buy, which is the South of France's climate.

Simon, a very good day to you. I come to you from southern New

England where we've had two perfect days, 40s at night, 60s to 70s during the day, the daffodils,

the forsythias, the budding trees, the tulips, of course, after Easter. Now, I understand you're

about to stuff me with your climate report,

but it's the best I can do. How is it with you, Simon? Well, actually, your sounds better than

mine. Today, it started at 47, and it topped out at 60 Fahrenheit. It's cloudy, but warm,

a little, little bit of sun now and then.

I'll take that.

That's not a bad day, but it doesn't sound as lovely as two perfect days in a row.

We've had quite a bit of wet weather this last few days.

You've got blossoms in all directions.

Are your fruit trees blossoming now?

Yes, they are. And it looks like the Mirabelle plum tree is going to give us a massive harvest this

year, which will make a lot of good jam. And I'm looking forward to that. And do you have somebody

to give the extra away to? You know, you're going to have an oversupply. You're going to be like a miniature China for a while.

Well, there's a gentleman we know who likes what they call O'Divie,

which is basically like moonshine,

and they use this sort of stuff, these sort of plums,

to make that moonshine.
