Hello and welcome to the Friday October 5th, 2018 edition of Tesla Daily Unofficial Tesla Podcast. My name is Rob Mauer. Today we're talking a little bit more about the SEC tweet as well as the beginning of the rollout for version 9 software.

Tesla stock on the day finished down 7.05% to 261.95

as compared to the Nasdak down 1.18%.

So Tesla didn't get any favors today

from the macro environment either.

Lacking any other news, I think Tesla today would have macro environment either. Lacking any other news I think Tesla today

would have been probably down around 3 3.5 percent so Elon's tweeting yesterday

definitely did hurt the stock but if we assume that that's only about 3.5 percent

of the move today that's not really that much in terms of Tesla's day-to-day movement.

Still, down 7% is tough. I for one am glad that it's Friday. I'm glad the markets are closed and I am looking forward to the weekend. But first

let's wrap up the week here today. Former SEC Chair Harvey Pitt had an interview with

C NBC and commented on Elon's tweets

had some good things to say some bad saying quote it demonstrates why the SEC was

spot on in requiring as part of its settlement with Musk that the board exercise meaningful

control over his tweets.

But this tweet, as silly and obnoxious as it is, does not do anything other than express

his erroneous view.

It doesn't relate to the securities laws,

and it doesn't even relate to his settlement.

So he's allowed to express his views."
