Summary

Be guided in a meditation on forgiveness. When we can forgive ourselves and those who have wronged us, we can find a deep sense of inner peace. However, when it is blocked or imbalanced—often due to emotional pain or trauma—we may experience feelings of loneliness, bitterness, or a fear of intimacy.

WELCOME TO THIS WEEK'S SERIES:

THE UNCONDITIONAL HEART: TURNING ANGER INTO POSITIVE ENERGY

This series is your guide to transforming the energy of anger into something powerful and positive. We'll explore spiritual insights and practices rooted in the chakra system, a concept in Eastern traditions that describes energetic centers in the body. We'll move from the core of your power to the wellspring of your creativity, culminating in the limitless compassion of your heart.

This is day 5 of a 7-day meditation series, "The Unconditional Heart: Turning Anger into Positive Energy," episodes 3360-3369.

Welcome to episode 3,364 of your daily meditation podcast. I welcome you to day five and you are on a journey this week, whether you have been with us all week long or you are just now joining us. It's all good.

0:24.9

You can start a series at any time during the week. I always launch a brand new series on a Sunday.

0:36.4

That's day one. For you, that might be a different day. And then I record

0:42.4

the full series through Saturday. So it's a seven day series that I launch every Monday.

0:50.4

And you are welcome to join in at any point in time.

0:56.0

So our theme this week is the unconditional heart, turning anger into energy.

1:05.6

And we always start off a series with a visualization on day one where you set yourself up for the week

1:13.6

and you're introduced to the theme, set some goals for yourself, and you're guided visualizing

1:20.3

what you want to happen for that week. Day two is always an affirmation and this is a positive statement that you're encouraged to repeat

1:30.8

throughout the series.

1:32.6

This is where you are consciously training your thoughts.

1:39.1

So instead of being distracted or running to-do lists through your mind or worrying or ruminating,

1:47.6

you're consciously focusing on what you want to think about.

1:51.6

And that affirmation for this week is, I give thanks to this present moment because when you tune into the present moment, you're

2:06.5

able to more easily open your heart and to feel grateful.

2:12.4

And this can help you process your anger.

2:16.2

And more importantly, it can help to break up that cycle of

2:20.6

rumination where you might find yourself thinking about something that makes you angry on a regular

2:27.3

basis. I heard from several of you, your fellow meditators, letting me know that you have been ruminating

2:37.7

on something that caused you great anger for years and how much you are in need of letting

2:48.6

the dust settle on whatever happened.

2:52.9

So this is the week to do that.
