Summary

Happy Diwali! Chef Maneet Chauhan joins us today to talk about her favorite holiday and how she and her family will be celebrating the festival of lights and the Diwali foods they’ll be making. Maneet is a popular Food Network personality, appearing on everything from "Chopped" to "Guy’s Grocery Games," and a founding partner of Morph Hospitality, which includes Chauhan Ale & Masala House, Chaatable Indian Street Food, The Mockingbird, and Tànsuǒ in Nashville. She joins host Kerry Diamond to talk about her journey from a young cook in India to Culinary Institute of America student to beloved food TV star and now a partner in the largest brewery in Tennessee, and why it’s important to say “yes” more than “no” when opportunities present themselves. Check out Cherry Bombe's 2nd annual Cooks & Books festival line-up here, happening Nov. 5th & 6th at Ace Hotel Brooklyn! Radio Cherry Bombe is recorded at Newsstand Studios at Rockefeller Center in New York City. Our theme song is by the band Tra La La. Thank you. I'm so excited to be here. I am so excited that you're here. It has been a really long time since we've seen each other. Too long. Too long. We have to do an interview to catch up with each other. But hey, we get two things done. We catch up with each other. We bank an interview. All good. All good. I know you're a big multitasker. Yes, I am. Yes. I try and fail. Like today was a big multitasking fail, but I'm not going to bore everybody with that. I don't think I have seen you since we did our book launch. Oh, no, wait. I saw you at the Malai ice cream pop-up. Yes. So I have seen you. Yes.

2:17.5

But I haven't seen you in Nashville, maybe since our cookbook launch, the Cherrybong cookbook launch. Yeah, that was the last time. And that was five years ago because it's the five-year anniversary for our book. Five years. Yes. Time flies. Speaking of Nashville, how are things in Nashville? Things in Nashville are going good and crazy.

2:37.6
