Chris Ying and I are joined by John Doer and Ryan Pachatzoram.

They are the authors of Speed and Scale and Action Plan for Solving our Climate Crisis

Ryan is a partner at Client of Perkins, a venture capital firm, one of the great ones of

all time.

I've gotten to be friends with John Doer over a 10 plus year period.

We had mutual friends.

If you don't know John Doer, that's fine, but you more than likely use some product or

interact with technology.

I would probably say 100% chance because of something he saw in an entrepreneur or a technology

many years ago and his success rate, his track record is really historic because John used

to work at Intel under one of the great CEOs, Andy Grove, and left Intel to become a VC,

a Client of Perkins, a venture capital, which is investing in early-stage companies.

He invested in things like the beginning of the internet in that escape, Sun Microsystems.

I think he was the first investor in Amazon.com, in Apple, in Google, in all of these things

that have become enormously meaningful in all of our lives.
