Welcome back to EW's Game of Thrones weekly podcast. This is bonus episode three of four talking about my book, Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon,

the untold story of making Game of Thrones.

I'm James Hibbard, and as always, I'm here with my podcast partner, Darren Franich,

who between the last time we spoke, has finished the book,

and I think we're going to be jumping a bit ahead here. But how has the

book reading been going? James, everything that I said about how much I was enjoying the first

half of the book, magnified in the second half of the book for a lot of reasons that we'll be getting

into here. On this episode, specifically, we'll be discussing a couple of what seemed like to me the bigger controversies

of Game of Thrones in terms of narrative controversy, roads that maybe shouldn't have been taken,

things that got people talking and that people are still talking about when they discussed

what should and should not be shown on television, heavy stuff like that that in fire cannot kill a dragon. I think you approach with a lot of

fascinating insight from the people involved in making it. But I do want to kind of start us off, James.
