Does negativity seem to consume you? When consumed by negative thoughts, It can be easy to lose sight of the ordinary miracles happening in life like the morning sunrise, the loyalty of your pet, or the blossom, and fragrance of a flower. This week, you are invited to refocus your thoughts on the positivity in the world. 

This is day 3 of a 7-day Staying Positive in Negative Situations Meditation series, episodes 2236-2242.   THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE: You're invited to take part in an Ordinary Miracles Quest. We are exploring how to stay positive in negative situations.

And that may be going on a lot lately in your world as we continue with the coronavirus pandemic,

which is certainly a situation that could qualify as negative or maybe not.

Maybe you're finding some gifts in the pandemic.

I know many of you have lost people from the virus.

I've heard from some of you.

I also have heard from many of you letting me know that this was a time for you to give yourself permission to slow down.

And you started a meditation ritual and did other things that nourished your mind, body and soul.

This week you are focusing on a special weekly challenge.

This is your challenge that you are encouraged to do every single day.

This will help keep you attuned to this week's focus, which is to let go of negative thoughts.

Your quest is to look for ordinary miracles in everyday life.

You might pass something such as a beautiful flowering bush or someone such as that person who glances your way and smiles when you pass them on the street.

These are ordinary miracles in your life and it's good to deepen those moments of peace.

And when you do so, you let go of negative thoughts that you might be harboring.

Think of your thoughts like a magnet.

The more you're focusing on negative thoughts, the more negative thoughts deepen within you and the more negative thoughts you have.

If you allow yourself to catch those thoughts that bring you downward, you can begin to break the cycle of negative thinking.

You can think of thoughts that uplift you.

It's not as though you're negating or ignoring emotions or thoughts that you are experiencing, but rather it's as though you are allowing yourself to experience all your emotions, even emotions that are difficult.
