Today's 10 minute walk is helping you keep your fitness promise, which adds another link to your growing fitness chain.

Still warm here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

I left the house before sunrise. It was still cool-ish, so I grabbed a light hoodie, which I'm wearing at the moment,

and now I'm beginning to think, this is probably not going to stay on that long. Still warm here.

One of the nice things, which we anticipated when we made the move from Maryland to South Carolina at Myrtle Beach,

was that we would be in a location that people would enjoy visiting, and they have.

And so we've had a steady stream of visitors, family, friends, some have stayed just for a night,

some have stayed for a week.

But I have noticed a common theme, a common theme among

Ava's friends, and not just friends, but also family.

They say, hey, I'm really looking forward to getting out and going for a walk.

In fact, we just had one of Ava's friends here for a week.

I don't know if she said that to Ava before she arrived,

but once she got here, she suggested several times,

hey, let's go for a walk.

And I think one of their walks, the last one they took, was a couple of miles long.

And this is someone who is not necessarily on a fitness journey, a consistent fitness journey.

And so her fitness capacity is still lower.

And yet walking with Eva and walking where we live and the weather was nice enough, compelled her, motivated her to go longer than I suspect that she would have

had she been at home. And in fact, I suspect that if she had been at home,

she probably wouldn't have walked at all.
