when I'm thinking about my next backpacking trip.

But, you know, in all seriousness,

this is when I start trying to narrow down

what I want to do next year for my big trip.

And today's guest,

let's just say he's made that decision

a little bit more complicated or added to that list.

It's always nice to spend an afternoon with you.

Okay, so last time we talked two months ago, you talked about some trips you had coming up over the summer and we said, all right, September, let's get together and touch base and see how the summers went.

And I'm following what you're doing.

And coincidentally, you're hiking in Idaho and I'm on a rafting trip in Idaho, a little

bit further south.

On that trip, one of the guides says to me, hey, you like backpacking.

You really need to go up to the sawtooth range.
