Hi, this is Kaisonga and I welcome you this Monday to Radio Headspace. I just went out

to one of my favorite restaurants the other day to pick up a takeout order and I was thoroughly

shocked to see that it was jam packed. It threw me for a loop initially because I've become

so used to practicing social distancing and picking up my food from empty restaurants.

And during this pandemic I've seen the line for Trader Joe's literally wrapped around

the block reminding me of when I used to go clubbing in New York City and had to wait

in these long lines just to get in. So here in Chapel Hill we had club Trader Joe's.

Anyway so yeah, summertime is here, the weather is lovely and people are out and about.

And so as I witness downtown Chapel Hill continuing to get more and more busy over these

summer days I'm reminded of one of the mindful reflections I had just the other day.

My mindful reflections are very deliberate moments I take to just think, daydream if you

will. I often set a timer and I use that time to just let my mind wander. And afterwards

I made journal about what came up for me. I learned a while ago that I really need this

kind of practice because of the way my mind works. My creative mind is always jumping so

I deliberately give it the time it needs to just run free. So anyway during this particular
