perceived as a bit of a cliche but it is so important to come back to as a foundation for our growth and really

just being of service in the world.

And this is that when your cup is full you have much more to give.

And so what do we mean by the cup? Well the

cup represents you, your emotional well-being, psychological well-being, spiritual well-being, your

sense of wholeness, your energy, your restoration, and so often, out of a sense of goodness and caring and empathy,

we take care of those around.

Aram of us have more of an inclination toward this than others.

But there are many people I work with and you might be one them, for whom it feels much more natural to take care of other people

than to take care of yourself. And while this is often coming from goodwill and a genuine love for other people,

if we're not turning that orientation also toward us and I would even argue if we're not prioritizing our own well-being,

we're going to deplete ourselves. We're going to either burn out or just

lose some of the genuine wish of well-being for another person because as our energy

goes down maybe you've you've noticed this in your own life you can become a little bit more edgy.

You sort of go into survival mode when you're not sleeping as well, when you're not eating as

well, when your energy reserves are down, the body just goes into a more self-oriented way
