This week, the Justice Department refused to produce the full Mueller report and underlying materials

to the House Judiciary Committee, setting up a court fight that will determine whether

the executive branch can hide evidence of

criminal wrongdoing by the president. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Trump has vowed to quote fight all the Iceberg. Trump has vowed to quote,

fight all the subpoenas, and the House has had difficulty

obtaining documents and witnesses from his administration.

What can the House of Representatives do to counteract this unprecedented attempt

My name is Renato Mariati. I'm a former federal prosecutor of practicing lawyer and a

CNN legal analyst and I'm joined by my friend Patty Vasquez, a WGM radio host who will join us regularly on this

podcast. So Patty I will tell you it was interesting to see that site of Bill Barr's

empty chair the other day in front of House Judiciary and I

think it's kind of a symbol for what we are seeing from this administration

in general which is Trump promising to fight quote all the

subpoenas unquote and you know the the Justice Department unwilling to provide even

the full Mueller report and underlying materials to the House Judiciary Committee.

Yeah, it certainly sets things up for a little bit of theater, didn't it?
