Summary

Sophie started out as any 22 year old graduating from uni and doing the 9-5 gig. She felt she was ready to take on the world, however struggled to find an outlet for it. Breaking walls that society tried to place around her, she refused to work up the career ladder and instead followed her mum’s wise advice of “awareness of potential and the want to explore your own path”.

In this episode we are guided through Sophie’s Kinabalu adventure race through the jungles of Borneo and how it was the standing point for a huge change in her life. She delves into her time spent in a team carrying out ultimate adventure challenges, including climbing the highest mountain in South East Asia and being helicoptered into the jungle with just a machete.

After a celebration party upon completion of the challenge, Sophie was absolutely buzzing from her newfound view on life and she just knew things would never be the same again.

We talk about all the many challenges that can come up when you battle in endurance elements and how to overcome the absolute lowest points that always inevitably surface. Sophie brings a courageous and heartwarming attitude and inspires us to truly create a life you love living every day.
