Summary

Since being diagnosed with diabetes as a teenager, Phil Graham set out on a quest to learn more about his condition. What he discovered was a fascination for learning everything about the human body, nutrition and training. Fast forward to the present day and he has now become a leading authority on nutrition and training for diabetics.

Phil’s career started in the NHS in Northern Ireland as a dietician while he was also competing as a champion bodybuilder. He then went on to set up his own business working with people from all walks of life who want to build muscle and improve their body composition.

In this episode, Phil explains the different types of diabetes, the nutrition considerations for managing the condition, why nutrition timing becomes ever more important, the benefits of training and muscle mass for insulin control, the facts about low carb dieting and his top tips on how to reverse or minimise the risk of type 2 diabetes.
