doesn't feel overwhelming, and we'll get started after this. A little behind

the scenes one of the things that I'm always aware of, always thinking about is what are the external noises that you hear as I'm recording, as we're

walking together. And one of the things that I think about in that context is the surface on which I'm walking.

And a lot of times the surface is a quiet surface, and so you don't hear my footsteps.

Today I'm starting out, and I'm in a parking lot that has some loose gravel on it.

This is an old parking lot in a building that is not used much and so the parking lot is

in disrepair. Not a very attractive parking lot but it's great for the sound of

footsteps but this parking lot is only going to be a small part of today's episode
