| 0:00.0 | This is episode 1047. Welcome to the Daily Meditation Podcast. And I welcome you to our |
| 0:10.0 | seven part series that we're exploring this week, which is all about self-care, |
| 0:15.5 | self-love, you at your finest. And in each day's episode, you're going to be |
| 0:23.2 | guided using a meditation technique to help you cultivate this self-care. And I'm Mary Mechley. |
| 0:33.6 | I share a different guided meditation every day on the podcast. And each episode is customized |
| 0:43.1 | around a weekly theme that we explore in depth so that you can really focus on attaining a particular |
| 0:51.2 | quality in your life. And I am sharing today a technique using your breath. And this is a |
| 1:02.4 | breathing technique that's going to help you open up more to your finest qualities. And as you do |
| 1:12.1 | this breathing technique, I encourage you to think about certain qualities you might have that |
| 1:22.2 | don't support you. So maybe you are easily influenced by others. Maybe you have poor self-confidence. |
| 1:33.5 | Maybe you're procrastinating these days on a project you need to get done. And it's starting to |
| 1:41.1 | affect your sense of self-worth. And so when you are not being you at your finest, |
| 1:50.4 | you're not pursuing those qualities that are unique to you only, pursuing your passions, |
| 1:57.7 | your dreams. You're much more likely to be influenced by others because it creates this uncertainty. |
| 2:06.8 | When you feel this uncertainty about yourself, you're not taking action on your life |
| 2:15.6 | and living it the way you want to live it, then it's very easy to start living on someone else's |
| 2:24.0 | terms to be influenced by what people think about you, how they feel about you. And pretty soon |
| 2:31.3 | that becomes all consuming. It's what you base your sense of self-worth on. And this is pretty |
| 2:39.2 | easy to let happen because I think that we often feel as though we are just going to wait for the |
| 2:50.0 | right time before we do something. Or we're not quite trained in a way to where we can pursue what |
| 3:00.1 | we want. Or we don't live in the right area or we have to wait. Something else has to happen |
| 3:08.4 | before we can be who we are. And so as you do this breathing technique, open up to who you are. |
