I know many of you are brand new to meditation because at the beginning of every year

And you are in the right place because this week the theme we're exploring is new beginnings.

It's a meditation to share your gratitude, your love and your compassion with others.

as you also share it with others and connect with others. I was reading through several articles

where it was discussed how social isolation and loneliness are considered to be epidemics,

even after the pandemic, even though we still are experiencing coronavirus,

we're not required to stay at home.

Yet we can still feel a sense of isolation and I was talking to a friend whose

son got a great job. He's a young man and he got an apartment and he was going to work

and he felt really lonely. And so he asked if he could actually move back home

just so that he could have some companionship. And I've heard stories like this quite often,

you might live in a pretty dynamic area that causes you not to really be able to relate to

what this young man is experiencing. But I think there are a lot of you who do experience loneliness

and isolation even if you're with a group of people. You can feel as though you don't really

connect with them. So as you settle yourself down and get ready to meditate,
