The US economy added 151,000 jobs last month, while the unemployment rate ticked up slightly

from 4 to 4.1%. That's according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and it's an increase

from January's revised gains of

125,000, but slightly less than economists had predicted. It marks another solid month of job

gains, and a continuation of a historic expansion of the labor market, after a January report

that experts said was likely influenced by seasonal factors, frigid

weather and the LA wildfires.

But the Trump administration's massive federal cuts and people's feelings of economic uncertainty

helped fuel a recession-level spike in layoff plans last month.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump says he's told cabinet members

that they're in charge of staffing at their agencies, not Elon Musk. Trump held a meeting

with his administration heads last night, as business leaders and Republicans have complained

about his right-hand man. We asked CNN's Kevin Liptack for the

details. Joe, there had been some growing discomfort about how Musk was operating among Republicans

on Capitol Hill, but also among these members of Trump's cabinet, these Senate-confirmed heads of

these agencies' departments, who had some concerns about this steamrolling that Musk had been doing
