Hello from CNN. I'm Joe Beck, with the five things you need to know for Friday, March 7th.

It's been a rollercoaster week when it comes to President Donald Trump's tariffs.

First, he imposed 25% duties on most goods from Canada and Mexico. Then he rolled it back for car parts.

And yesterday, he delayed almost all of them until next month. Ever since

Trump first threatened to introduce the tariffs for Canada, and started referring to it as the 51st

state, Canadians have expressed anger. Some have even cancelled vacations south of the border,

booed loudly at the star-spangled banner at sports events,

and boycotted U.S. products. And as CNN's Lauren Fox explains, Trump's tariffs are facing

backlash at home, too, even from within his own party.

You have a lot of Republicans who represent agriculture-heavy states, you have a lot of Republicans,

who represent manufacturers in their state, who have a lot of Republicans, who represent manufacturers in their state,

who have been hearing from constituents worried about what the impact would be.

These sort of constant reversals or delays in implementation are really putting a strain on their economies back home,

and so many of their business owners, their manufacturers, their farmers, who they say

just want to know what's going to happen.
