In New York, a man was arrested after his roommate's body was discovered dismembered and floating in the East River.

In Indiana, a man was arrested in charge with murder in the death of his wife, and we also have

an update to bring you on the alleged murder of Dakota Farley, of Big Piney, Wyoming.

We initially reported on the story last Wednesday.

On Wednesday, February 5th, a New York Police Department harbor boat was traveling through the water in the East River

when they came across the duffel bag that was floating on the surface.

When the bag was retrieved and pulled from the water, they opened it and discovered body parts,

including a severed torso.

The remains were brought back to the medical examiner for an autopsy and potential identification.

Fortunately, the medical examiner's

office was able to determine who the victim was. The body was later identified as 65-year-old

Edwin Etjavaria. When homicide investigators started looking into Edwin's death, they seemed to be

stumped. By all accounts, he was well loved. In a later interview with the media, Edwin's nephew stated the following, quote,

Edwin was kind-hearted.

You know what I mean?

If you needed something, he was able to help you.
