Let us begin by calling to mind that we're ever in the presence of Almighty God

and whom we live and move and have our being.

and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

I want to pray for two young women who tragically

passed away this past week for Kimball Kramer and for Isie Ford was killed in a car accident.

I also want to pray for Megan Aiken.

And this was a prayer petition that came in a few days ago.

So Megan, we're praying for you for your full recovery from your surgery and for your family. I want to pray for the repose of Tom Peeper and sister Susan under mother Angie. And I also want to make a quick announcement. Mike has extended his Dallas area Rosary on the road. So he will be in the Dallas-Fort Worth area starting this Thursday, August 26th. Pope Saint Pius the tent, the first Pope at the time to be canonized in over 340 years, the first canonization for a Pope in the 20th century.

He was known as a simple poor pastor of his flock,

the only pope of the 20th century without a doctoral degree.

He was simple, a parish priest, a confessor, a spiritual

director, a boots on the ground diocesan bishop. His rural background and forthright

right view of the faith lent him a profound sympathy with the faith of the

every man who filled the pews on Sunday morning. He typified Jesus' own teaching that unless we

become like little children we will not enter the kingdom of heaven. The Pope was trusting and innocent with his simplicity and very loving.

Too often though we associate these qualities and this child likeness with naivete and gullibility, which leaves one vulnerable
