Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for, for Olivia Caneli's successful surgery on September 20th for the healing of Little

Damien, for Marie Bauer, for Cardinal Burke, and for all of our bishops and priests of our country. Now today we

celebrate one of my favorite feast days. The feast of the Queen's ship of Mary, seven days after the assumptions. So the fifth glorious mystery is what we celebrate today.

Now, how do we know that Mary is the Queen of the Universe?

First, the Book of revelation says that the mother of the male child who rules

all the nations is crowned with a crown of 12 stars, that is Mary. Second, through the history of the Kingdom of David, the

kings made political alliances by taking wise from the daughters of the kings of the nations around them.

Suffice it to say, the kings of Israel had many wives.

And the scripture tells us Solomon had 700.

It doesn't sound like a very wise man to me.

Well then, with so many wives, who would have been the Queen? It was always the mother of the King and

the Queen Mother was in no way a figurehead. She had real authority. And since Jesus is the everlasting king of the universe,

and Mary is his mother, then she is our queen.
