You're never scared.

You're never fearful.

You're only ever forgetful.

You forget who stands by you,

within you, as you.

You forget this power.

You forget that it's the only power.

Forgetful of God.

You forget who you are.

And when you forget, it hurts, and you call it fear.

You don't have to get to the bottom of your fear,

what caused it seemingly maybe from your childhood,

from past experiences.

In this present moment, you just recognize

that fear is here because you are not.

You weren't present.

You weren't being present.

You weren't in love.

And fear is felt in your absence.

And God's perceived absence fear is felt.

But when you wake up to yourself, capital S, just like the sun

coming up in the morning, the darkness is gone.
