FBI agents are being pulled from their regular day jobs to join local police on patrol in Washington, D.C., despite not being trained for that.

That's because over recent months, the agencies rank and file, who usually specialise in complex investigations, have been

assigned to fill other roles.

That includes spending overnight and weekend shifts pouring over Jeffrey Epstein files,

assisting ICE in finding and removing illegal immigrants, and now patrolling the streets of

the nation's capital.

And as CNN's law enforcement analyst, Andrew McCabe,

tells us, it stops those agents from doing other important work.

They're not finding and uncovering and investigating and incarcerating terrorists

for trying to stage attacks in our country. They are not looking for child predators on the

internet and saving our children from that sort of victimization.
