Welcome back to the Adam Schaefter podcast, the final podcast before we, like the rest of the NFL, shut it down for a few weeks until mid-July, when training camps will get ready to resume.

NFL teams are away.

This is the quietest time of the NFL year. And while there are still some NFL storylines

that linger out there that we'll get into today, this really is the time that teams force

themselves to take a break. And while they do, we will begin to ramp up for the coming

week's fantasy drafts. Fantasy football has become enormously popular. It helps drive the

popularity of football and to help give people some insights, some perspective. We will be

joined today by Mike Clay. He's the fantasy football analyst

for ESPN after previously working with PFF and NBC, and he has been on the forefront in bringing

innovative stats and data to the fantasy industry now for over a decade. He's got an 80-page,

2,023 NFL projection guide, which is must read. It's now live and available for

everybody to check out. You can find it on his Twitter page, Mike Clay, and he does a great

job for ESPN, and he will be sharing sharing today players he is targeting, players he is

avoiding, and some sleepers for everybody to have on their radar when they do their fantasy

drafts. We'll also be joined by perhaps the most notable free agent out there, Dalvin Cook.

Cook was a second round draft pick out of Florida State in 2017,

spent six years with the Minnesota Vikings where he racked up over 7,700 total yards and made

the Pro Bowl in each of the last four years. He was released in early June and is now a free agent

for the very first time in his career.

And he's got teams calling.

They were calling as we were recording a conversation with him today.

So he's got interest.
