Let me tell you we are going to be talking on a grown-up level today.

So if you are listening to this episode right now and there are young people around,

I'm going to give you five whole seconds to press pause before I reveal today's focus.

One, two, three, four, and five.

Today we are talking about sexual health. I'm not saying that this is an adult only topic because

sexual health should be addressed at every age but we are going to be talking

about it in a way that isn't developmentally appropriate for younger children.

I would consider it appropriate for most teenagers, ages say 16 and up, but I want that to

of course be your call if you're a parent. After you listen to this you can

decide whether or not to share it with them. Last week during our talk with

Cheryl Luke, Cheryl named some of the many 12-step groups that celebrate recovery offers and

she included one called Love and Sex Addiction which I'm grateful for because it's

not at all uncommon for Christians to be struggling in this area. Whether it rises to the level of

addiction or not, so many people struggle with their sexual health. You know we are

sexual beings and it's a very important part of how we see ourselves.

And in terms of change in recovery, this is a big area that people bring up, especially as

they strive to lead committed Christian lives

led by scripture.

We live in a sexually broken world.

I mean from billboards to magazines to movies to TV commercials in the middle of the afternoon, it can feel impossible to escape
