We hope you enjoy the message. Well, last Wednesday night, there was a severe thunderstorm in the middle of the night.

And with the thunder rolling and the lightning crashing, there was a severe thunderstorm in the middle of the night. And with the thunder rolling and the lightning crashing,

there was a transformer near our house that just blew up.

And so those three different noises combined

were so significant that it woke up all five members

in my household at the same time.

And so I got up and I went to the other side of my house

to where my two boys share a room.

And I went in there and my six-year-old Andrew was just scared to death.

He was scared to death to the point where he sat on the end of his bed and he refused to go back to sleep.

Like he wouldn't even lie down on his pillow because his pillow was close to the window and he thought if I, if I lay my head on my pillow, the storm might actually crash through the window and get me.

He was that scared.

And so he sat right there on the end of the bed.

And I'm just going to go out and tell you right now, my best parenting moments don't happen

at 3.30 in the morning. They just don't, all right? So I told you that beforehand. And so I first

just try and reason with Andrew and I say, hey dude, here's the deal, man. You are safe inside this house.

Everything is okay. You can just lay down and go back to sleep. He was having none of it.

So, I had to dial it up a notch. And I backed off the patience. And so what I said, okay, as I said, okay, dude,
