Summary

Former President Donald Trump was in Miami federal court this week after he was charged with 37 felony counts. The felonies he stands accused of involve removing highly classified documents from the White House following the end of his presidency and obstructing government efforts to retrieve them. President Trump says he is innocent and is being politically targeted by President Biden's Department of Justice. Just before the former President's day in court, George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley joined host Dave Anthony to break down the evidence in the case that could be potentially damaging for the Trump defense team. He also discussed the accusations by Trump allies who feel he is being treated differently than other past Presidents. Turley explains when a trial could take place, what might happen if the former president is convicted, and how this could become an issue in the 2024 election.
