Summary

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in China meeting with some of the country's key leaders this week amidst troubling tensions between the U.S. and China. Republicans have voiced differing opinions on the trip, with some saying it facilitates productive dialogue with China and others believing China should instead send someone to the U.S. if they want to pursue talks. The question also remains if Secretary Blinken will initiate conversations with other nations that China has been working closely with like Cuba, which has allegedly allowed China to establish spy bases in the country since 2019. On the Rundown, Congressman Tony Gonzales (R-TX) joins to explain why U.S. leaders must connect with countries working with our adversaries to establish dominance and strengthen national security. He also discusses how he & his fellow members on the House Homeland Security Committee are working to investigate Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ alleged failure at securing the border. The Biden administration's Investing in America agenda includes a plan to have 50% of new cars be electric by 2030. Since he took office, electric vehicle sales have tripled, and the number of available charges has increased by 40%. However, the advancement of EVs has hit a few speed bumps along the way. Since 2019, there have been over 700 crashes involving Tesla's self-driving feature, calling into question the effectiveness and safety of its autopilot capabilities. There have also been concerns about how to standardize chargers. FOX News Digital's automotive editor Gary Gastelu joins to discuss the state of the electric vehicle market, where the technology is going, and what's really behind those Tesla accidents. Plus, commentary by former White House speechwriter and Fox News Contributor Marc Thiessen. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
