today by the brilliant Jason Stanley. Jason is a guy who has studied the politics of language

and the language of politics, if I can sort of loop that back around on itself, wrote a great book

a while back that I absolutely loved called How Fascism Works and has all sort of been called How Propaganda Works.

But I wanted to have Jason on today because we are in the middle of a moment right now where the tools of propaganda and communication and language and politics have all merged with this monstrous sort of nationalist movement and a moment where AI and the tools of

communication and social media platforms have all run together into a gigantic, ugly mass.

And I'm curious today, and I want to have a conversation with you, Jason, about where you see

the use and abuse of language right now in our culture.

And I don't just mean by Donald Trump and Fox and the sort of MAGA right, but more broadly.

And how should we, how should we be thinking about what we're hearing and what we're seeing every day in this moment in our, in this very chaotic moment in history?
