And once again, we are here for Explore the Bible.

This is a program where we help you not just to read,

but to study the Bible and go deeper and ask the right questions

and give you the tools to gather the right answers as well.

So together with me, as always, Dr. Rick Yon from Parker, Colorado.

Shalom. Dr. Yon, how are you?

I am doing fine.

And boy, what an exciting time we can have today as we look at John chapter 6 and Jesus walking on the water.

Yes, you're right. And you know, the last program, we dealt with the feeding of the 5,000 and we concluded, I mean, that this is one of those stories that appear in all four Gospels.

And we were able to gather from each gospel one more piece of information that eventually gave us all the answers to the when, where, how, why, and what.

It was phenomenal. This is exactly what we're

trying to do today also in our story today. And again, Pastor Rick, you know, most of us think

that we know the story. But what is the story? I mean, what might

we be missing in what we think we know about the story?

Well, why don't you read the story? And as you read it, I'm just asking our viewers to listen carefully. And then we're

going to give you some other passages to look at so we get the full scope of what the Lord's

trying to tell us with Jesus walking on the water. Exactly. And again, we're trying to explore the Bible rather than just read the Bible.

And so here we are reading from John chapter 6 verses 16 to 24. Now when evening came, his disciples went down to the sea, got into the boat,

and went over the sea toward Copernium. And it was already dark, and Jesus had not come to them.

Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. So when they had rowed about three or four

miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat, and they were afraid.
