I would love to talk to you today about the power of expectation.

In the book The Secret, Rhonda Bun says that expectation is the most powerful force, meaning essentially,

we get what we expect. And you can see this in small ways in everyday life, right? You expect to

be able to have a shower, right? That there's going to be running water. You expect that there's

going to be food in the supermarket. You expect that your child is either going to be

happy or grumpy based on how they've been behaving lately, right? We live and act from a place

of expectation. And so those of us who expect great careers, expect great relationships,

expect great health, fill in the blank,

whatever it is, you'll notice that those of us, those among us who expect good things

to get them and those who expect maybe not so good things also get them. It's much easier

to observe this in somebody else than in yourself.

So think about that for a second. What are you expecting? What are you expecting? How's your

meeting going to go today? How's your dinner going to go? How is your new food prep for the week

going to go? How is your job application process going to go?

What are you expecting? Right? Because we act from a place of expectation. If I expect it to rain,

I'm going to bring an umbrella. If I expect it to be sweltering hot, I'm going to dress appropriately.

If I'm expecting to have fun, I am like, ooh, dancing, getting ready to

whatever it is I'm headed out to. So, you know, it kind of reminds me of this random story I'm

about to share with you of how expectation just really overrides anything else. Okay. So I was at a club where I'm a member

with a brand new friend of mine, her and I had just met not long before in L.A. And we're
