Summary

This meditation utilizes the Akasha Mudra, the gesture of space, to create a receptive environment for intuitive insights. By connecting with the element of ether, you'll expand your awareness and create a sense of spaciousness within, allowing the subtle whispers of your inner compass to emerge with greater clarity.

Welcome to episode 3,244 of the Daily Meditation Podcast. I'm Mary Meckley and I welcome you to day four of this week's series.

0:14.6

And I've heard from several of you letting me know that this series is just what you needed. You are starting to let go

0:25.8

of some of your goals and ambitions and you needed a refresh. You already needed a refresh,

0:32.3

and that is completely normal. In fact, it is expected at about week three or around day 21,

0:43.9

and that's coming up at the end of this week. This is when most people begin to let go of their New Year's resolutions. So here you are being guided in a meditation

1:01.9

series to help you attune your inner compass towards your highest aspirations. And in today's episode, I'll offer you

1:15.4

insight, as I always do, how to fine tune your goals and ambitions so that you don't let

1:24.2

them slip away. And then you're going to be guided in a meditation with today's

1:31.2

featured meditation technique. And I know this is a favorite for many people. It is the Akasha

1:39.2

mudra. Many of you let me know that initially you weren't really sure what a mudra is. A mudra is a way

1:49.2

you position your hands that is considered to stimulate your nervous system in a particular way.

1:57.6

But now you tell me that mudras are your go-to meditation technique. So if you're new around

2:04.6

here, let me guide you to do the featured mudra for this week. So this Akasha Mudra

2:13.5

promotes openness to deepening your intuition. To do it is so simple. You simply bring the tip of

2:24.3

your middle finger and touch it to the tip of your thumb, doing this with both hands. So your palms are

2:31.5

upward on your lap or on your knees and your thumb is touching your middle finger.

2:39.7

Your other fingers are gently extended and relaxed.

2:43.8

So your index and your ring and little finger are in a relaxed extension.

2:55.7

So hold this mudra throughout the whole meditation if you can,

3:02.2

or hold it for as long as you feel comfortable doing so. It can take a little while for your fingers to become nimble to hold these mudras for more than just a few minutes.

3:10.2

Even a few minutes can seem like a long time when you're new to a mudra.

3:14.4

And if you would like to see a photo of the mudra, you can always head over to the Sipin'om
