Yo, parish orphans. What's up retrogrades? Today, we're doing a basically Protestant's only contra episode.

Based on the supposed brothers of Jesus, I've got with me, my friend Andrew Orozco, who's going to help me to get really, really scripturally specific

on why this is such an absurdity. But for starters, let's just say, Protestants make up these

characters at a whole cloth, brothers of Jesus who didn't exist. And then they attribute to them

false personality traits and even

false actions like, what were these brothers of Jesus about? What were they doing? Where were they at?

And why was specifically why was Mary not given to them? And then they'll say, well, here's,

here's all this stuff that these imaginary

guys did to, you know, ad hoc rescue the fact that Jesus gave Mary to John. This all began

with a tweet, Steph sort of conceived of, if Mary had other children, why did Jesus, as one of his last wishes,

give her over to John? And that's a really good question. And it's one of those questions that

shouldn't really have an answer, because the answer is there were no brothers. But the replies that

we got from Protestants were hilarious.

They make up their own magisterium and then just glom onto the best answer being given by one Protestant,

which was what, that they were unbelievers or something?

Then they just repeat that.

Yeah.

So for those who don't know, there's been a war on Twitter about whether

or not Jesus had brothers, and therefore, whether or not our lady, our virgin mother was a

perpetual virgin. And then a lot of Catholics were rightly pointing out, John 19, let's just,

let's just read that out. So if anybody who's not familiar, we could just have that

right on the books. This is during the passion of our Lord. John 19, we're going to do verses 26 and 27.
