My guest, Susan Dones has a master's in psychology from Antioch University.

Dones joined Nexium in 2000, eventually opening up her own center in Tacoma, Washington.

She taught Nexium classes in Mexico in Ireland before leaving the group in 2009.

How did you get into Nexium?

It's such a funny story. I was at another training seminar, and the woman that was doing the training seminar, two of my friends and I were looking at bringing her out to the Pacific Northwest to work with a group of

our friends. And we had heard about her training seminar. She was in Detroit, Michigan, and it was

called Life Skills. So we had called her and said, hey, would you come out to the Seattle area

and do your workshop out in Seattle.

And she said, well, why don't you fly out and take my program and see if you really think

it's good.

We had heard about her through a network of friends.

So we flew out there.

And it was a three-day seminars of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

And we were there.

And then she'd made this big announcement from the

front of the room that she was shutting down her training program. And she was going to Albany,

New York to study with Nancy Salzman and Keith Reneery in a program called Executive Success

programs. We all looked at each other like, what? Like what? You know, we came out here to bring her out

to the Pacific Northwest and she's shutting down her company. And then she talked about it a little bit.

And there were people from, you know, like all over the United States there. We all kind of started
